Giggling

Before the girls jumped in the tub, Jane started really putting her tush in the air and scooting on the bed. We tried to catch it on film but instead got Jane smiling at Anne Grace and Anne Grace giving a prize winning giggle.

It was a rough day- only making it to the end with one sock.
No sunshine outside? No problem- just blow bubbles in the bathroom. Anne Grace did this earlier today for at least thirty minutes by herself and then had to show Jason when he got home.

Mrs. Mean

Apparently we are reading Lily's Purple Plastic Purse too often lately. In the book Lily makes an ugly picture of her teacher, Mr. Slinger. Today in the car Anne Grace asked how to spell "mean." I told her and then this drawing appeared. She had been upset that I hadn't taped her favorite PBS show today so this drawing emerged- the person is me and it's titled "Mean." Do you feel the love? She laughed when she handed it to me. Such creative expression- right? Ha ha...

Sisters

We had a photo shoot tonight before bath time. I love the one above because it looks like they are telling each other a secret.

Snow Day

We finally had enough snow today to go out in it. Anne Grace was so excited. Of course, it was really just a dusting, but she loved it. Jane and I got hit many times by sweet little snowballs made by Anne Grace.

Jane

We love those cheeks!
Jane sitting up on her own!
Funny picture after we'd gotten home the other night after eating out.

Anne Grace

Another great conversation...

Anne Grace was asking me about school and where I went to school-

Me- I went to school too and that's where I met Daddy and then we decided to get married and stay together for a long time and have you and Jane.
Anne Grace - Oh...I think when I get older I will marry Uncle Joey.
Me- Wow- Uncle Joey. That's great.
Anne Grace - Or Jack Baust could be my dad.
Me- No...your dad will always be your dad.
Anne Grace - I mean mabye I could marry Jack Baust.

Food!

Today we tried out the new high chair for the first time. She enjoyed the chair and sitting next to Anne Grace- she wasn't so wild about rice cereal.

This was a few days ago when Jane took her first bite of rice cereal. Not impressed.

Reading Time

Anne Grace reading Officer Buckle and Gloria to Jane

Anne Grace does magic!

Visitor at School

My dad visited Anne Grace's class recently to play the guitar and sing with the kids. Anne Grace requested "The Fox" song, but others were "Puff the Magic Dragon," some Mr. Rogers' tunes and "I'm being swallowed by a boa constrictor." The teachers were loving the oldies and so did Anne Grace. Her class enjoyed the show!

Anne Grace's Wish

Not so long ago Anne Grace had a lively discussion in the car that I thought I would share.

Anne Grace - I really want to be a boy.
Me - Oh...well being a girl is such a wonderful and special thing.
AG - But I really want to be a boy.
Me - Boys and girls can do the same things- run and jump and play.
AG - But I really want to be a boy.
Me - Why would you like to be a boy?
AG - Because I really want to pee pee standing up.

There you have it.

Updates

It has been a bit since we last posted any new pictures. Jane continues to grow and change at a quick speed. She now gets everything in her mouth- every toy, her hands, blankets, placemats, and more. She also started rolling from her tummy to back so now she does both back to tummy and tummy to back which allows her to do a continuous roll and get places. She is also trying to pull up and is doing a little scooting to get toys. Jane seems to be ready to get moving.
Another new big thing is the exersaucer! She almost jumped into it the day we brought it out. She loves it! Anne Grace loves playing with her in it also which is great.

One of the lifts on the exersaucer wasn't staying put so Anne Grace brought out her tools and started working on it.
Bailey got involved also!
