Sick Day

Poor Anne Grace was sick today with a cold and fever. It takes alot to keep her down but she was pretty much on the sofa. She did find the energy to play Pretty Pretty Princess and a round of Hi Ho Cherry-O.
Jane has been growing and discovering new things over the last two weeks. She is laughing! She is rolling- both from tummy to back and back to tummy. She is also grabbing things now. When she is on the mat, she grabs the toys overhead! I am amazed by the way she looks at Anne Grace. When Anne Grace just walks by, Jane's feet start kicking and she smiles.

The big day

Anne Grace had a party at Parmer Park this morning with so many friends from school, playgroups, and from our old neighborhood. It was brisk but sunny...a perfect day for hot chocolate in the park. Here are some pictures from the day.

Anne Grace is Four!

At this time four years ago today, I was in Baptist Hospital holding a baby girl only hours old and beginning such a wonderful, exciting, and sometimes tiring journey as a new mother. Anne Grace was so pink and round faced when she was born and her eyelids had kisses of bright pink on both sides. She continues to amaze us everyday with her kind, loving and fun personality.

Pics

Edward and Rebecca stopped by today to say hello. Anne Grace, Jane, and I had just gotten home from Franklin and a full thirty minutes of Jane screaming in the van. She doesn't seem to be the biggest fan of riding in a car. So...Jane was dripping wet from getting so worked up and her hair was super curly. Of course, once out of the van, she was very happy. Ed's big hands holding Jane up.
Anne Grace- trying on a new dress. She pretended to be a flower girl in the dress like in the book Lily's Big Day.

Sleeping

This morning Anne Grace crawled in bed with Jane and me. We had to wake them up to pick Jason's car up early this morning, but I grabbed a shot of them first. So sweet...

Anne Grace's Photography

My parents gave Anne Grace a digital camera for Christmas and she has had so much fun with it today. She pushes a button and pictures appear on her viewing screen so she can position people around it. The top one was taken by Jason, but all of the others were taken by Anne Grace. Jason and I just laughed until we were both crying while looking through them for the first time. Just thought I would show you some of her work. Of course, Jane is a perfect model for her.

This is one of my favorites and the pirate below.
There were many others, but I wanted to just post a few. She also loves the video feature on the camera. She doesn't really care about the picture on the video, she just loves to hit record and then start talking. She plays it back to hear herself, and the things she says are hilarious.

Here's another Anne Grace funny from a few days ago. She was playing with play-do at the table by herself while I was cooking dinner. She was talking about what she was making and I was sort of listening while working. Then I heard her say, "We've gotta take a commercial break, but we'll be right back and I'll get this baby in the oven." Okay...too much Rachel Ray or is that Paula Deen that calls her food baby?
